![]() ![]() They pretty much have the same function and purpose as in Gruul decks. You have two planeswalkers from the Gruul Midrange decklist, Domri and Nissa. Trostani Discordant gives your creatures +1/+1 and makes them more potent in both damage and defense. It’s also an effective blocker that can withstand Gruul Spellbreakers, Goblin Chainwhirler, and Tempest Djinn to name a few Big Creature DropsĪurelia, Exemplar of Justice is a 4-drop 2/5 creature that has Mentor ability and gives one of your creatures +2/+0, Trample if the creature is red and Vigilance if the creature is white. ![]() It also gets bigger whenever you sacrifice a Treasure, so you have that going for you when you’re trying to beat down the opponent faster. On the third turn and with three available mana, you can use its Adapt ability to get some surprise damage and to fish for another copy at the same time.Ĭaptain Lannery Storm is a turn 2 drop if you have Llanowar Elves in play and its ability generates Treasure tokens that can get you additional mana when sacrificed. Growth-Chamber Guardian just gives you something to do on your 2 nd and 3 rd turn. Llanowar Elves simply ramps up mana when it’s on the board and brings you one mana closer to your big creatures.Īdanto Vanguard acts as a cheap blocker that can be indestructible at the cost of 4 life, so it can kill a blocking Goblin Chainwhirler. Naya Midrange has some decent early game drops that can put the pressure on the opponent when left unattended. So what does this deck have? Naya Midrange – Takao Shota Top 16 Season Masters War of the Spark This one ended up in the Top 16 list in Hareruya’s Season Masters War Of The Spark Event, piloted by Takao Shota. They may not be meta decks, but they do a good job at surprising opponents. One of the decks that caught my eye this week is Naya Midrange. You just got to love Japanese Deck Techs. Twitter: || Twitch: twitch.I am a fan of Hareruya Rogue Decks simply because they’re just so innovative and competitive at the same time. Happy holidays and happy New Years! May 2021 bring us more memes. ![]() Our time will come again to play this deck when we feel the meta disrespecting the horse tribe! The tribe needs a lot more than a ton of three drops and pretty much a tribe overhaul to be considered a threat so we'll have to retire the deck for now. If I'm our opponents, I'd be chuckling that I got stomped out by Horse tribal. If I'm being honest with you, when I built this deck, I did with an ear to ear smile as it's mostly a meme that wasn't supposed to win more than a game, but we ended up getting more wins than losses. If we're paired against any planeswalker heavy decks, The Immortal Sun will bail us out (but it does ignore static abilities so be mindful of that). Our disruption will come from ripping key cards with Thoughtseize from opponents and then cleaning up whatever is left with Maelstrom Pulse. We do have a nice curve topper in Auspicious Starrix to mutate onto our "threats" for the unsuspecting opponent. However, Extinction Event makes us very sad as the exiling is a huge pain. This means Azorius Control decks will have to work harder than a simple Wrath of God to kill our threats. Another card that will synergize with our horses comes in at five mana, Crested Sunmare! This card will force a sweeper out of most control deck's hands. I do think Vine Mare is our best threat as it isn't targetable due to the hexproof. After that, its all about trying to curve out with all of our horses. Our most aggressive starts begin with Metallic Mimic that serve as our horse lord. ![]()
